We all love our pets, but sometimes there are rooms we'd rather them not get into. So if you're looking to keep Fido from a certain space, adding a pet gate like this is a great option for lovingly limiting him to select spaces while adding to your home's style. Crafted from solid wood with a slim slat design, it's perfect for an understated style that can be easily added to a variety of spaces. And since it features double-jointed hinges, it can be arranged in a variety of ways. An included door allows your pet through without removing the gate.

Create a safe and spacious activity area for your pets with this 16 panel metal dog playpen. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, this pet enclosure offers up to 111 sq ft of space and can be arranged in different shapes to fit your yard, patio, living room, or training area. The 40 inch high panels help keep small, medium, and large dogs safely contained, while the dual gravity auto lock gate allows convenient access for adults. Built with sturdy metal wire, pointed ground stakes, rubber caps, and floor protectors, this playpen is a practical choice for dog training, playtime, and everyday pet care.

This 40 inch high panel is perfect for our small dachshund who can easily climb out of the 24inch and 32inch tall playpens. This is tall enough to prevent her from climbing out but short enough for us to easily put her in and pick her up if we need to. Sometimes, she wants to stay with us outside when we are doing yard work and this is the best way to secure her for her safety and not get run over by the riding mower. Assembly is pretty straightforward and easy to figure out without any written instruction. Gate easily opens but not easy to get breached by a dog. It’s not flimsy but it’s also not too heavy — this is just right in the middle. I can easily store it away or put it to the side since it’s not too heavy. It can also be used indoors BUT you need something to prevent the stakes from scratching your floor.. Antonette. Cleveland, TX. Wed Aug 05 2026

The gate kit is solid, well protected, and a good value.. Theodore. Mission Viejo, CA. Wed Aug 26 2026

The Cardinal Gates Step Over Pet Gate is the perfect solution for small pet containment. This freestanding gate has bar spacing's of 2.25” and is designed for small breeds, non-jumpers, and puppies. At 20" tall, this gate is the perfect height for you to step over, yet keeps your pet contained. It is adjustable and able to close off openings from 28" to 51.75”. Multiple 22” extension panels can be added to increase the maximum width of this gate (model SGX, sold separately). It features solid wood construction and is easy to set up with minimal assembly necessary. The included rubber-bottomed feet protect your floors while adding stability. This gate is intended for indoor use only and all necessary assembly hardware is included in the box, no wall mounting necessary. Available in Natural, Walnut, and White.

READ ME! I was a little stumped by the assembly of this gate, but once I figured it out (with NO help to the included instructions or video), I really do like it. Upon receipt when you unscrew the two main pieces of the gate, keep an eye out for 4 small square nuts that may fall out of the grooves. After you determine the size needed, these nuts are essential to hold the two gate pieces together. The video and instructions make it seem like you just simply fasten the screws into the grooves on top and bottom. Well, you do, but if you screw only into the grooves - without the square nuts - there is nothing to catch the screws, and thus, you will be unsuccessful. If you are luckier than me, and your nuts don't fall out of the grooves and go missing for a few days, you need to know that the nuts can be moved back and forth inside the grooves depending on the size you want. Use these nuts to secure your screws, and you'll be golden! I have two small dogs (up to 9 pounds each), and I chose this gate because it is adjustable to any size you wish, and it has feet (rather than needing to be secured to a wall). The feet can be placed along the bottom at any desired location (or you can opt not to use them at all). I chose to screw them in the bottom (but you don't need to) because it gave my gate added stability, and seeing how I plan to move the gate to other locations, this way I don't have to worry about the legs falling off during the moves. The feet have rubber pads at the bottom which help them stay in place on the hard floor. If you're looking for a gate where you wish to increase/decrease the size often to let dogs through, this isn't the gate for you as that would be a bit cumbersome with screwing/unscrewing; however, if you want a gate that sits at a certain size and can be stepped over or easily moved, this is perfect! I am 5'4" and can easily step over the gate, but my small dogs cannot get over/through it. I hope this review helps!. Theresa. Sun Prairie, WI. Fri Dec 06 2019
