If they get too cool, their metabolism slows (and in conditions that are too hot or too cold, they enter states of inactivity or hibernation).Maintaining the appropriate temperature is vital to bodily functions such as digestion. It is important to provide the proper temperature conditions in order for the animal to grow and thrive. For many reptiles, it is not simply a matter of providing a constant temperature, however. They require a thermal gradient, or a range of temperatures from a high end to a low end. Thus, the animal can move to a higher temperature or lower temperature to suit its needs at any given time.

This reptile tank stand combines farmhouse style and practicality, perfectly suited for holding various reptile terrariums. Constructed with a high-quality metal frame and MDF, it can support up to 500 lbs and is compatible with reptile tanks of varying heights, providing stable support. It features a built-in power strip with 3 AC outlets, offering safe and convenient power access for the tank’s lighting and heating devices. The inner shelf can be set at 3 different heights via reserved holes, together with a drawer to meet storage needs. In addition, it features practical detailing: metal edging protects the terrarium and prevents slipping, while adjustable bottom feet accommodate uneven flooring.

This stand feels very sturdy. The frame is solid and doesnt wobble at all, and the farmhouse style in black looks great. Assembly wasnt too hard, and the instructions were easy to follow. The drawer and two-door cabinet give you plenty of hidden storage, and theres a handy space for routing cords. Its actually so stable that Im using it for my 3D printer instead of a terrarium. It handles the vibration well and the top gives me plenty of room to work with. For the price, Im really happy with this and would recommend it.. Brandon. Redmond, WA. Tue Sep 29 2026
