Please note that trimming will damage the finish, also any edge that was trimmed should be sealed, stained, or painted to prevent moisture from entering the wood. We totally love the new hallway doors! They have replaced 1980s louver doors and make the entry now feel so contemporary and up-to-date. These doors were perfect. Packaged SO well and good quality. They are very heavy and feel solid. However the description says solid wood… they definitely are not. When I notched out the hinges it appeared to have an mdf core, at least where the hinges go. But that doesn’t bother me. They feel solid and heavy! I'm using this non see threw pivot glass door on entrance to my master bedroom at the end of a hall in my new manufactured home. It gives privacy without making the hall dark. Love it. These look great, but my Contractor said they were a pain to install. I bought two sets for two different rooms. One set was perfectly fine. The second set of doors arrived boat. The level confirmed that the door frame was plumb, but these doors were not cut straight at the factory. The door looks nice and works well overall. One thing to note if you’re installing it in a frame with a traditional door stop built into the jamb, it may have trouble closing properly. Installation wasn’t too difficult, but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly before starting. Love love love these doors. Used them between the master bedroom and master bath. They look great and the frosted glass lets in some light while providing privacy. It was a bit of work for our contractor to set the hardware as the doors are are not prepped for that but we knew that from previous reviews Even with that our local building supply store wanted 3000 for a “custom” door of this design. Nice quality doors and the finish looks great in person. The pivot hardware works smoothly and gives a much cleaner look than traditional bifold closet doors.
