Urethane faux wood shutters stay true to authentic wood by not only having a wood grain, but also by having the ability to be either gel-stained or painted. Longevity of this faux wood material is priceless, without sacrificing the real wood appearance of the shutters.

Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. Beautiful high quality shutters that I could not find anywhere else. Do be warned that production and delivery take a long time due to each shutter being cut to your custom measurements. I was a little hesitant to spend the hefty price on these shutters being that you can spend a fraction of the price for cookie cutter shutters at a big box store. However, I wanted something different than the 100's of other homes on the block. I'm happy to say, that I am very pleased with the end result. I ended up purchasing the "primed" shutters and selected my own exterior paint color to use on these. I was a bit annoyed that no mounting hardware is included, so I ended up using deck screws and cement anchors into the brick mortar. Then used 3/8" mushroom caps to plug the holes. I did not want a permanent plug because I may wat to take them down and repaint them at some point. Pros: -solid construction, not hollow like general store bought shutters. -painted well over the primer -unique design Cons -expensive -does not come with mounting hardware. Chris. Beautiful shutters. Great detail. Love the custom sizes. Only negatives are that they do not come with any mounting hardware or advice on how to mount them…and for the price, I would have expected pristine condition but there are a couple of areas that look like they did not quite get enough paint on them.
