The Viking 8.5 Quart 3-in 1 Roaster is a versatile cooking vessel; use it as a conventional open roaster for poultry, meats or vegetables, add the lid to convert it into a 9 Quart (to rim) covered roaster, Dutch Oven or stockpot. Internal volume markings in quarts and liters allow for easy addition or reduction of ingredients. Use the lid separately as a 4 Quart Au Gratin, casserole, saute or serving vessel. This piece can help whip up any dish with maximum heat efficiency, from food hacks to gourmet dishes. Robust cast iron handles provide support when cooking and serving from oven to table. Safe on the grill and on gas, electric, ceramic, glass, and induction stoves. Oven safe up to 500°F. Handwash recommended. Care and use instructions: Cooking with your cast iron: Heat slowly – Cast Iron retains heat very well, but will absorb heat slowly. Give the pan several minutes to come up to temp. Use pot holders or oven mitts when handling hot cast iron. Cleaning your cast iron: Rinse your pan under warm water and gently scrape off any food remnants with a nonmetal brush or a nylon scouring pad. Thoroughly dry your cast iron and then using a paper towel, apply a light layer of oil around the entire surface of the pan. The pan should be smooth with no oil residue. Place the oiled pan on a burner set to high heat. Once the oil is lightly smoking, turn off the heat and allow the pan to cool.

I purchased the Mepra Non-Stick Frying Pan (MEP1300) from Wayfair a few months ago and Love it. The only problem was it did NOT come with a lid. THIS is the matching lid for that pan. It make the frying pan even better to use and keeps foods warm and cook beautifully. It is beautifully made and cleans easily with no water stains. Be careful when ordering, the sizing under Specifications is confusing. I'm happy to have the lid.. Max. Westport, CT. Wed Jan 22 2020
