As we all know, shopping for fixtures can cost an arm and a leg. To save money, and appendages, reach for a replacement shade! They offer a fun, budget-friendly way to make old lamps look new again. This handcrafted shade, with its eggshell linen fabric and drum silhouette, is a perfect pick for both modern and traditional fixtures. A brass-finished spider fitter helps this design keep its shape and makes it easy to replace your existing shade – we recommend you measure the shade beforehand as a replacement harp may be required.

After searching numerous retailers I finally found this shade. It almost exactly matches the shades I had in size and color. The problem I was having was getting one this size. Bring structure and softness to your lighting with the Rectangle Softback Lamp Shade by Royal Designs, Inc. This refined shade features gently flared sides, soft corners, and a rectangular silhouette that blends effortlessly into traditional, transitional, or contemporary interiors. Each piece is handcrafted from premium silk shantung or linen-blend fabric and finished with a softback polycotton lining for a warm, diffused glow. Black shades include a gold lining for added ambiance. Double trim along the top and bottom edge adds a tailored touch, while a standard spider fitter with brass-finished washer ensures easy compatibility with most lamps. A V-notch allows secure mounting to 6" or 8" reflector bowls. Whether it’s topping a console lamp or anchoring a bedroom side table, this shade adds polished, architectural elegance to any space. Measurements are listed as (Top Width x Top Length) x (Bottom Width x Bottom Length) x Slant Height. Height is measured by slant height from top to bottom of the lampshade’s front face. Please measure your existing shade—a replacement harp may be needed for a proper fit or additional adjustment if changing the height of your shade.

The fabric lampshade has cut corners for a slightly casual look. The linen fabric is high-quality and meant to last, as is the poly/nylon interior lining. Adorned with hand-applied metallic lace shade trim for an elegant touch.

My parents bought this shadowbox lamp at an antique store in England in the early 1960’s. I inherited it when they passed away, but have not been able to use it for a variety of reasons. I finally had the whole thing fixed and seatched everywhere for just the right shade because the base is rectangular shaped. I found this on Wayfair, ordered it late last week and it arrived today. It is perfect. The quality is what I hoped for (and my mother would approve!) and the unusual shape really highlights the shadow box lamp base. Michael. Austin, TX. Mon Oct 05 2026
