This is a beautiful tile. I shopped for a glossy white ceiling tile and comparable tiles were $1-$2 more per square foot. This is a flat tile and does NOT have a beveled edge. I placed mine directly over the cheaper acoustical tiles and they look great. I rated them 4 stars because of the packaging. They were delivered piled on a pallet and wrapped with clear plastic with the result being scratched tiles. I'm probably the only person that notices the scratches but when you are paying $2.99 per square foot you want a perfect tile. It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid.
