They are good quality and look great. I'll add that the assembly was more difficult than expected. Adding the hanging mechanism was a bit tricky: we carefully measured the length of the wire when putting the hangers on, etc. and still ended up with three different heights which meant mounting them on the wall required some extra consideration but overall happy with the value for the money.. First things first, the frame does seem to be constructed of wood but the 'wood grain' finish is a veneer. If you're hoping for a raw wood look this may not be the frame you want. That being said, it is a very well-constructed frame and I was so thrilled to get it in a size that's otherwise difficult to find (6"x6"). Acrylic really does have superior clarity when compared to glass - it will scratch much more easily, of course, but so long as the frame isn't in a high-traffic spot that really shouldn't be an issue..
