These are just what I needed! They put together pretty well. I would recommend using wood glue for the pegs that hold the shelves on, just to make it a little sturdier. We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. I was looking for solid wood bookcases but didnt want to spend a fortune. I came across these and thought theyd make for an interesting bookcase. Very versatile. Can arrange anyway you want. I split them up on either side of my chair. My own relaxing nook that Ive always wanted. I was even able to turn one around the corner of the wall and stack the top one to maximize space on the top of the bottom ones. Easy to assemble and seem sturdy enough so far. One of the boards came missing the threaded inserts for the screws but the company promptly sent me a replacement. These shelves are very good quality. We were surprised at how heavy duty they are. They come in almost a cool shade of wood - we used wood oil to give them more warm and honey finish. Ordered several and one bookshelf had two broken shelves and a missing washer - manufactured sent replacement parts (which did take a few weeks) but we were happy with the process.
