I read a few reviews that said they had some chipping of their plates. I have had stoneware before and I feel these should not easily chip unless of course they are dropped or not handled with care. Such a nice dish set! The color blue is very pretty and has several tones and is like pottery. Big plus is that they are microwave and dishwasher safe! The ribbed edge is stylish also.
