I really love the size of it. Putting the frame together was way quicker than I expected. However, the roof portion was very difficult. The wood beams were slightly warped so the wholes on the roof panels were not lining up. Two of us were able to assemble in a weekend (frame in 2 hours but the roof took forever) It seems sturdy, it is real wood, but it does seem the wood would wear down or rot fast. It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. I had installers handle the installation and other than some challenges with drilling it into my cement pad, it seemed to go fine. It certainly looks nice, however, there is no way to affix mosquito netting/screen to it due to the width/square shape of the rim around the top edge.
