Installation was extremely easy, and they immediately elevated the look of what was otherwise a pretty plain window. I was especially impressed with how sturdy they are. Some raised panel vinyl shutters can feel flimsy and may crack during installation, but these are surprisingly rigid while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I was a little hesitant to spend the hefty price on these shutters being that you can spend a fraction of the price for cookie cutter shutters at a big box store. However, I wanted something different than the 100's of other homes on the block. I'm happy to say, that I am very pleased with the end result. I ended up purchasing the "primed" shutters and selected my own exterior paint color to use on these. I was a bit annoyed that no mounting hardware is included, so I ended up using deck screws and cement anchors into the brick mortar. Then used 3/8" mushroom caps to plug the holes. I did not want a permanent plug because I may wat to take them down and repaint them at some point.
