First things first, the frame does seem to be constructed of wood but the 'wood grain' finish is a veneer. If you're hoping for a raw wood look this may not be the frame you want. That being said, it is a very well-constructed frame and I was so thrilled to get it in a size that's otherwise difficult to find (6"x6"). Acrylic really does have superior clarity when compared to glass - it will scratch much more easily, of course, but so long as the frame isn't in a high-traffic spot that really shouldn't be an issue.. The single wood construction of this picture frame benefits from the use of high-quality solid ash wood, which makes it long-lasting. Hang certificates or photos on the wall with this rectangular picture frame. In a traditional setting, this Wood Grain Picture Frame looks great.

This is a nice picture frame, especially for the price. It wasnt really what I wanted once I got it because the matting and background are huge compared to the little space the picture goes in and it looks a little strange to my eye. It would be a great frame for a cool landscape picture, but it looked strange with a picture of people. Its the size of a poster with a little 7x9 picture.. Sarah. ID. Sat Feb 14 2026
