We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. ​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item. LOVE THIS PERGOLA - We needed something that kept the sun off our outdoor kitchen in central Florida. We lifted it by about 18 inches so it would be above our door by using flower boxes and filled with concrete. It actually makes the pergola more comfortable by raising it. The gutters work well in the heavy down pours known in Florida. The higher wind tolerance was a huge selling point for us. We couldnt be happier.
