I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. I bought a 13x15 gazebo to fit over my 16x20 patio. I have done my research and this one was the best choice for me. Its a good size for the space and I love the look. Now here is a few things I don't like. I had some issues with the metal roof. Some of the holes didn't line up. It's a good thing that I am tall with long arms because otherwise you wouldn't be able to reach both ends of the nut and bolt. They say this can be setup in 2.5 hours with 4 people. I think that's hilarious. I would like to see that. I just needed help standing the legs, the rest I did by myself. It took me less than a week to build. I was working on it a few hours a day after work. I also wish it had more roof support. Since I am very handy, I will be adding my own additional roof support. By adding more support it will add more weight so hopefully it will withstand wind over 60 mph. Just make sure if you are unsure about a part, jump ahead in the manual and see how it comes together. I had to do that with a few steps. Overall we are happy with our purchase. If you are not very handy this can be difficult for you. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! It’s really nice! Got a professional to put it together and it took a long time and some extra tools from the hardware store to get it the way we wanted it. We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. We are very happy with our Backyard Discovery Beaumont 14x12 pergola! The only negative would be the time it took to arrive, which was about six weeks. Otherwise, it is very well made and looks beautiful. You need at least three people to put together.
