I was happy to find these shades for our patio. Hadn't had much luck except to order custom made at three times the price! I wish these were offered in shorter lengths....96 x 96 is 3 feet longer than the openings on my patio, but we can unroll them to the floor at almost 8 feet, or just leave them at the top of our brick wall and have extra fabric on the roll. Unfortunately, they were too wide so we had to mount them on the outside of the frame. Also, just note that the fabric is about an inch short in width than the metal roller. We just installed this retractable screen on our back paver patio for added privacy that we just weren't getting with plants. The main stand is sleek and easily hides up against a post on our pool cage and the receiving post is also barely noticeable behind a planter, we just need to create a cap for it so water doesn't sit inside and lizards don't setup shop in there. The screen itself feels thick and sturdy, the color is exactly what we wanted and it is not see through. One year ago I bought a cheaper pergola from another company; it had the nylon roof you pull back with a cord, no side screens available. The roof was flimsy and noisy whenever there was a breeze, and if you forgot to close it tight before a rain, the weight of the water was going to tear it . It actually wasn’t 10x10 as advertised, maybe 9x9, and the sun came under the east & west sides, no you were seldom shielded from the sun. So I tried Wayfair after noticing my neighbor’s, got the same one only I ordered the pulldown screens for 2 sides. It also has a louvered metal roof ( huge improvement), we love it!
