I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! I bought a 13x15 gazebo to fit over my 16x20 patio. I have done my research and this one was the best choice for me. Its a good size for the space and I love the look. Now here is a few things I don't like. I had some issues with the metal roof. Some of the holes didn't line up. It's a good thing that I am tall with long arms because otherwise you wouldn't be able to reach both ends of the nut and bolt. They say this can be setup in 2.5 hours with 4 people. I think that's hilarious. I would like to see that. I just needed help standing the legs, the rest I did by myself. It took me less than a week to build. I was working on it a few hours a day after work. I also wish it had more roof support. Since I am very handy, I will be adding my own additional roof support. By adding more support it will add more weight so hopefully it will withstand wind over 60 mph. Just make sure if you are unsure about a part, jump ahead in the manual and see how it comes together. I had to do that with a few steps. Overall we are happy with our purchase. If you are not very handy this can be difficult for you. ​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item. Everything came same day. Husband and son put together in about 6 hours with a few breaks! They hated the instructions but they both are very handy and figured it out. The gazebo looks beautiful up. I got the 12 x 16 and it has lots of room for outdoor dining table and a very extra chairs in corners. Put the curtains up but not bug screen. Haven't used them just tied back. This review is only based on the gazebo and not the company that took 5 weeks to sent me replacement parts. Lots of pieces and time in this but it was worth it. its nice that you can open the louvers to let sun in when you want it.
