I love this bench. The seat is firm The whole bench seems very well-made. The wood is pretty. There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls!
