13 Gal Stainless Steel Step Trash Can Kohler 20940bsb

The trash can looks nice and that's all it has going for it. The sensor is not as sensitive as it should be to pickup motion and to stay open while dumping trash into it. The lid closes very shortly after you wave to open it but needs close proximity to the sensor to detect for open. There are times it would not open until you were about 2 inches from it. The lid also stayed open if your hand was in it and the sensor did not detect your movement while dumping until you waved over the sensor again. I would not recommend this trash can.. Michael. This Betty Retro Steel Step On Trash Can hides plenty of capacity within its slim size, making it a great choice for home offices, craft rooms, laundry rooms, and other small spaces. Featuring a profile hinge and retro silhouette its sleek design allows it to sit close to a wall or cabinet. Its design features don't end there it is finished in powder-coated stainless steel, features a steel step-on mechanism that allows for smooth openings and closings (no pinched fingers!), and has a removable plastic liner that makes the bag change a cinch.

I never had a cute trash can before! Nice to look at and very functional. I’d give it a 5 if I hadn’t had to remove the metal bar inside the can. I assume it was there to keep the bag from slipping down? It didn’t work great at that capacity and would catch on the bag making it difficult to get the bag out without another set of hands. Works great now.. Michele. Minnesota. Fri Oct 30 2026

Bring modern style and everyday convenience to your home with this slim fluted kitchen trash can. Its elegant textured stainless steel body adds a refined touch while fitting neatly into narrow spaces, such as between the refrigerator and the wall, beside kitchen cabinets, at the end of a countertop, next to a kitchen island, or in a narrow bathroom or laundry room corner—making the most of limited floor space.. The soft-close lid, hands-free pedal, and removable inner bucket make daily cleanup simple and quiet. Fifteen matching starter trash bags are included, so it’s ready to use right out of the box.

The trash can is very sturdy and has a removable insert but it’s not possible to drape a trash back over the insert and hide the bag from outside view. This isn’t a problem since the trash can is in the utility room and a trash bag is not necessary. The foot pedal works well and the lid closes slowly. If you are looking for a trash can that will need a trash bag and seeing the bag will bother you, Wayfair has a lot of other options that include a “ring” to drape the bag over and insert into the can so you won’t see the bag outside the can.. With a durable metal pedal and a back handle for easy movement, it also includes 15 perfectly fitting liner bags.

Love my new trash can. The one I had was also from Wayfair, but it was wider and the step to open was in the front. I was tired of retouching the cabinet due to the lid always scuffing it. This one is slim design and taller. Holds the same amount of trash 13 gallons. Only this one opens towards a wall and all I have to do is pull it way from it so it doesn't hit it. I didn't have that option with the other one that is now on by back patio. This is perfect for a small kitchen and not having to give up and trash space. Came quickly too.
