The unique finish will fit with any décor and their size allows you to put your rectangular planter on any size deck or patio. The rectangular planter can also be raised with an optional sturdy metal frame.

Solid product BUT significant defect is NO DRAINAGE HOLES. Without them, expect anything planted to sit in soggy roil and rot. Had to buy drill bit and drill it out myself. I used Vulcan brand #028365, which is a 7/16” bit (just shy of 1/2 inch), the largest bit that will fit on a standard drill. Any hole smaller will clog readily and be useless. This is an inexpensive home-user brand readily available at many hardware stores. “Speed steel with a 135 deg split point eliminates the need for center punch and keeps drill from skating on hard surfaces.” Recommended for metals, but package also states plastics. You want the split point to keep the drill from skidding on slick plastic surface. Pain in the neck, though. Why does anyone make a planter without drainage!! I drilled four holes in each of the three bottom compartments - see photo.. Jane. Studio City, CA. Wed Apr 29 2026

I am OBSESSED with these! I've loved window boxes since living in Germany in the 1990s but always had a hard time finding ones to fit my deck railings. I've done the wire holder with plastic box and they just looked blah. These look amazing! I can't wait until the grass grows tall and petunias and sweet potato vines spill over. I ended up also buying the supporting deck railing brackets because I worried about the composite balusters not being able to support such a heavy box when weighted with wet soil.. Maria. MA.
