This upgraded 12'x20' carport is designed to withstand various weather conditions, providing superior protection for your vehicles and outdoor items. This 12x20 metal carport feels like it is somewhat heavy-duty and well-made. However, assembly is highly complex and not an easy task. You will need at least three people to safely hoist the roof panels and align the heavy frame components. Due to this build complexity, I do not have pictures of the final product yet but will update my review once I do. I like it! I did 90% of the assembly alone. You need help putting on legs. Putting on snow load supports is a little tricky alone, they are tight. I only attached 8 bunges cords before I put on legs so I could work in the shade. I had to stand on a step stool for sides and used a 6' ladder for peaks. I live on the coast so I used 12 tie downs. The standard 8 (one I had to just go straight down, no room) and 2 each in the interior front and back. I used screw in type supports and 550 paracord and cinch knotted on the inside supports. I used 1/8" wire and turnbuckles on outside supports. I put 1 1/2" PVC over exteror supports to protect people and pets from running into/hurting themselves. I also think it will be easier for yard trimmer. I would love to say it took me 3 hours but in reality it took me most of the day. It arrived in a box that wasn't too heavy. It was neatly folded and included the tie-down hooks. The material is a type of plastic fabric—it looks like sturdy cloth on the outside and plastic on the inside. It appears to be more durable than other types of tarps; even so, the weather in my city is very changeable, so time will tell if it truly holds up better than other tarp materials. I got 2 of these for my animals. We made it into a chicken coop and a peacock and pigeon coop. It’s a really good size for them. We got a few rolls of hardware cloth and my husband got some 2x4’s, he put a concrete foundation so animals can’t dig in. The animals love it and so do I.
