We are very happy with our Backyard Discovery Beaumont 14x12 pergola! The only negative would be the time it took to arrive, which was about six weeks. Otherwise, it is very well made and looks beautiful. You need at least three people to put together. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind.
