These are nice lights that we got to accent pictures in our hallway. There are lights on both sides. I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light.
