So far so good, haven’t completed the assembly yet. All of the parts arrived in good condition, only a couple small scratches on the pillars. Otherwise the aluminum seems very sturdy and thick. It took 2 guys about 4 hours to get the gazebo frame assembled as first picture shows. NOTE it doesn’t include screen material for the upper second roof tier. We read the reviews for this gazebo and purchased it despite the naysayers. We got a local quote to assemble it for $3,600. No thanks, we Just finished assembling the gazebo itself. It took a total of 20.5 hours over 5 days, including unboxing, parts inventory, staging and assembly. 16 hours with two people and 4.5 hours with 3 people. overall quality and engineering is pretty good. Only a couple of screw holes required modification (wall anchors). Instructions are not great, but usable if you read them several times and take your time. If you want to DIY this gazebo, make sure you have a couple of good step ladders, a decent cordless drill and 2 or 3 6-foot folding tables for laying out parts and to work on. If you try and assemble this kit with the tools provided, it will take you at least twice as long, maybe longer. Plan on working no more than 4 hours a day...it is tedious and tiring. Also, cooler weather and overcast days are better. We are a 65-year-old couple in decent health. If we can do this, anyone can with proper preparation, tools and patience.... Anonymous. This was a beast to put together. It took me about 12 hours over 2 days. I mostly did it myself with about 10 minutes of help of my wife and 12-year-old son. That said, I love this gazebo. It was packaged amazingly. All the parts were clearly labeled. Everything lined up. We put it on our back patio next to the house. It essentially functions as a covered porch. We can sit outside in the rain. None of our cushions have gotten wet, and we've had a ton of rain in the last month. It provides a break from the sun when we're using our new pool. We just absolutely love it. I bought some rubber plugs to plug the rain gutter holes on the side next to the house, and the rain flows perfectly to the front two gutter ports.. Jon. This gazebo is a game changer! Assembly is complicated, but can be accomplished step by step, and have at least 3 helpers! We receive compliments daily. Ours is one year old, it survived a western NY winter, with a few bolts shaking loose, but no big deal. The curtains are a bit of a job to put up and down, but really worth the effort.
