I attached heavy duty 2 x 2 inch sq Velcro fasteners to bottom of speakers and to the glass speaker shelf. With a bit of patience, I was able to run my 12 gauge speaker cable thru column of speaker stand (has a hole in top & bottom of column - to effectively hide speaker cable). Great stand to hold my albums and record player from my childhood. I don’t have a lot of vinyls but wanted something that would hold everything together and this cabinet works perfectly. Was easy to assemble, everything labeled nicely and I didn’t need any extra tools. Pieces were in good condition, no scratches, dents, or missing parts.
