He stated that the directions were not included so he had to look them up. It took longer than expected but after fully assembled there were no real issues. The unit does not have a top because it is meant to go under a counter top. The finish is decent. Solid, good finish to the wood, looks great, but the instructions are terrible. Instructions are pictures only, and it's not clear what they are trying to indicate. The videos I found for this exact product are for different style of attachment, so not helpful. I have put together many of these types of furniture. Rather nice, once it's put together, but it wasn't a particularly easy build. Certainly not the snap together style most of us are probably used to. However, I do find it to be quite sturdy, as a result. The big disappointment, though, is that it doesn't come with a top. To be fair to the company, it does say that in the description.
