I’ve tried other ways of anchoring outdoor string light and this is by far the best looking. They recommend stringing lighter weight string lights which does help a lot. I started with heavier lights and the poles would be at a slight angle. I filed the base with water. I live in an area that can get very windy and these are stable even during high winds.. Julie. This light pole comes packed in 2 pieces (plus the base) and has everything you need to install it (includes rope as well with stakes if you are installing it in a windy place). Installing was super easy, however since I was using it in the ground I had a little trouble because we have a very soft mud layer.
