Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. This is great for what we bought it for. Our senior pup can’t jump up on the couch or even the lower outdoor loveseat on the porch. We use this out there. It is a covered porch so we keep it up when we are out there there and just put it right inside the door when we come in. We’ve also used trash bags to cover it and left it close to the door. I admit, I’m just lazy so I just put it inside the door. We also have 2 of the larger ramps that are also amazing. One he uses to get up on the inside couch, the other the bed. Although I purchased it for my 13 year-old dog Bella (shown here), all 4 of my dogs love the new pet ramp! My dog is older with really bad joints. She is able to get up and down these stairs pretty easily.
