I am in the process of removing the care labels and I must go in and rip out the piece left over after cutting and sew up the hem (you will definetly see the label if not removed when the curtains are closed), the label is sewed into the hem, there is not an extra top stitch on the label that would make it easy to remove, these labels are sewn in as part of the curtain. Why??? I know there are legal reasons to secure the label to the product but there has to be other ways than this no matter the low cost. Well, we just got 18” of snow here so this unit is not going to be installed any time soon but I’m really looking forward to trying it. We have relatives that have these in hot weather and they work great to cool a room without having to have the expense of having a central unit or pay the electric bill for cooling the entire house. The inverter option is great for climates that have short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! Heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote is a must, but these work great with the thermostat so just set the temperature you’re comfortable with and that’s it! But the flexibility, and relative ease (its still an air conditioner!) of taking it in and out of the window to only use when needed has been amazing. Its so quiet in my son's bedroom, but keeps him cool during his afternoon naps and has kept his room cold enough for the occasional too hot nights. I can turn it on and off with my phone so I don't have to go inside, and its so much quieter and cheaper to run than my old portable AC.
