Used this today for the first time. I never used one before. Takes getting use to but works great. Cooked my sons burgers well. You must center the pan on the unit first, otherwise it will display a u like symbol and turn off. So make sure magnetic pan is on the unit and then power on. Also I love the H it displays when cooling off to let you know the unit is still Hot. I purchased out of laziness. Tired of cleaning the entire stove just to make burgers or whatever...lol. its easier to wipe down the counter and clean the unit. Happy with the induction plate so far. The only thing that is is missing is is an actual temp read out instead of pre programed selection of numbers from 1-9 where the default temp selection is 5.
