We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. I normally don’t write reviews, however, I was so impressed after last nights storm (that I thought for sure all my hard work of putting this together was going to be shattered by the quarter sized hail)…. to my surprise, the gazebo was completely unharmed! I was hesitant when I unboxed this at first thinking it would not last a good size storm. I did anchor to post with the cement screws provided, but cemented the other two inside of outdoor gardening pots. The roof panels seemed like they were simply cardboard covered in plexi glass coating, therefore my hopes were not high for the durability. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. The gazebo looks nice once finished . It was not too difficult to assemble even though the instructions are quiet rough . We did it with just my husband and I. The worst part is the roof pieces have a film that has to be removed and that took up the most of our time. It was brutal . Maybe 4 hours to remove . I'm proactively giving a good rating, and will be back after assembly tomorrow. Good price, and I did some comparisons. I'm disappointed about the delivery. I've had large items delivered before a walk-in tub, custom sofa sleeper and both times, with specific, confirmed delivery instructions - had to get assertive with delivery guys, who prefer to drop these and similar items on my driveway in plain site. For this gazebo delivery, my instructions were to put these heavy boxes in my garage, which didnt happen. The garage doors were wide open FedX never cooperates UPS does. I can always depend on UPS. Ill see how this Assembly goes and then write my review. I'M BACK! Paying for the assembly was smart. 2 guys in uniforms showed up 7 am promptly the day of the predicted storm, and moved the boxes into my garage. They returned the following morning 7 am sharp, laid out all the pieces and had the gazebo built and secured to my deck. Then with owner supervising, the drapes/netting hung with completion in record time at 10:30 am. The gazebo is absolutely beautiful. My neighbor even took pictures of it. There are some really cool features with this gazebo that I must've missed when originally looking at the description but number one for me is that the roof panels actually let in some light. Somewhat translucent-ish. They are not totally sun blocking which in the Pacific Northwest is HUGE. Assembly was easy enough. I put it together in an afternoon with a little bit of help. Everything came same day. Husband and son put together in about 6 hours with a few breaks! They hated the instructions but they both are very handy and figured it out. The gazebo looks beautiful up. I got the 12 x 16 and it has lots of room for outdoor dining table and a very extra chairs in corners. Put the curtains up but not bug screen. Haven't used them just tied back. This little gazebo is an incredible find and a great value. It was one of the less-expensive options available to make a covered area for our Weber grill. I chose it because it had a hard metal roof with a good slope and a classic style. The kit exceeded expectations beyond expectation! First off, the packaging was like nothing previously encountered. Its a very sturdy pergula! It looks expensive. We use an installer to put it up. They told us the directions were good and it was simple to install. Bought this (On Sale) to replace soft top gazebo that have had to replace (roof?) every 2 years. !st box arrived in no time, had to stop Fedex driver making delivery next door;from driving away with it still on the truck, not sure if 2nd box on truck, but it was delivered late next day. While they suggest 3 people (3hrs) I assembled it by myself (14hrs) over 4 days as it was the hottest days of the year so far. Worked early mornings and late evenings and sweated a ton. Anyways couple minor glitches because of directions, no problem at all on first phase, second phase, the roof, ensure that you do the top cap & row first and work your way down to the bottom. My bad, that I failed to identify that it was not a metal roof; not sure how well it will stand up; time will tell. Not unhappy about it because I got it half price; had I paid full price this review would have been different. Fan with light next install, had to special order a proper bracket to install it because this comes with a "U" bolt hanger, that is why it gets a 4 star instead of 5. Good luck and have patience..
