It's not real wood and doesn't look as such but it does look better than typical aquarium stands and looks more like regular furniture. It came as advertised, but not well designed. The stand doesn't account for storing the large filtration system needed for a tank this size. We had to drill new holes to lower the cabinet shelf 4 inches, and enlarge the hole in the back panel to fit the filter tubes. Our power outlet is on the wall right behind the tank stand, and the plug from the stand sticks out, preventing the stand from sitting flush against the wall. We weren't able to use the wall brackets provided because of this. Overall the exterior of the stand looks good once assembled, and feels sturdy to hold the weight of our 60 gallon tank.. Anonymous. I may be wrong but tank stand seemed to be a used item, or perhaps a returned item, as it had scratches on the wood and a couple chips on the corners but for the price I paid, I can't really complain. Stand is very sturdy and a great item in general; my 40 gallon snake tank looks incredible on it with extra space left for a larger tank when I need to upgrade in the future. Shipping took a couple of days, and it was delivered 1 day after it should have, but that was FedEx fault, not the seller. Fed Ex also left the item in front of my garage instead of by my door but luckily no one took it. Again, nothing to do with seller. I would buy from seller again for sure.. Suzy. FL. Fri Jul 17 2026
