These are nice sheets, they are definitely feeling as if they are 100 cotton. These are nice and lightweight sheets. They do seem a little in the thinthread bear side. Before I washed these sheets they felt softer. Almost like they might be a brushed cotton. Or Sateen. Now the sheets feel stiffer and crisp. Which isn’t a bad thing. These sheets are amazing. They are 100% cotton and fit my extra tall mattress without moving or shifting through the night and being 100% cotton are breathable. For those that say they are 'stiff' that is what percale sheets are, a nice crisp cotton sheet. Yes, they are expensive and worth every penny! I'm not sure WHY the title has the word "Sateen" in the description. These are the same SUPERIOR brand sheets I have purchased for 12-15 years and they are 100% Egyptian Cotton and sturdy not thin like many of sateen sheets are. I ordered the slate gray and they are definitely not gray if you're really looking for that color. They are a nice color of pale blue (see photos) and the sheets are soft and appear to be good quality. They had a strong odor upon opening the box but once washed they are fine. I like these sheets a lot. I was skeptical when they were delivered and when I opened them. They felt quite scratchy. I was washed them and that did help. I was expecting them to be super soft, that is the way they were described. When I wash them in Downy they will be perfect. Even so they are very lovely sheets. They are elegant looking, well made with quality and durable materials, which is very obvious! The embroidery on the trim is simple, yet beautiful. The fit is excellent on my queen size bed.
