We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. Shelves are what you think they are. No surprises. 2 negatives (one small thing and one little bigger). 1) they put the stickers for the part identifier were on the “finished wood” and did not come off easy. Really had to chip at it with my fingernails and go over it with Goo Gone to get the sticky off it. If it were on the particle board side it would t matter. 2) there was a big scratch on the right, outside board. I would have been more upset if I didn’t have that side agains the wall.
