The awning arrived intact and we are in the process of completing this project: painting posts with tops and using dacron line with clips we can remove it for tropical storms/hurricanes. This shade sail is made of a thick but flexible material that should provide just the right amount of protection from the sun without being a total "sunblock" (or completely waterproof) and the reinforced attachment points on the sail seem sufficiently strong. I haven't yet installed it, but the included kit appears to be very comparable to the separate installation kit I ordered just in case the included kit was flimsier or more difficult to use. This particular brand of sail offered a lot of different size options, which is ideal if you are looking for a sail to fit a space with unequal distances between the triangle points. The sail I ordered measures 20' x 20' x 28.3'. it came with a installation hardware kit but I can't yet comment on whether the hardware kit works well. I also ordered another hardware kit in case I needed a different installation option than the one included. Unfortunately, Wayfair said it delivered both when I never received the additional hardware kit. After waiting 3 days to see if there was a problem with how the item was scanned, I have reported the missing delivery and hope that I will receive that other installation kit so that I can choose which kit will work better for installing the sai.. This is extremely large. We have a double layered deck that are very large. This not only covers them, but it would have covered almost half our house if we had not accordion folded and zip tied one side of it. I must say, it actually brought the temperature down quickly once up. I am currently in 100 plus, Texas heat. It made the back deck bearable and stopped the wood flooring from burning our bare feet. Love these Royal Shade sun cloths!! I've purchased several of these to cover numerous outdoor areas that need protection from the sun. They are durable but flexible and allow rain and air to flow through them. They have heavy duty grommets approx. every 12 inches to help secure the shade cloth which really helps because many companies don't have this many grommets and the sunshade ends up flapping and tearing in the wind. These sun shades are so practical, affordable, and easy to install. I highly recommend these for anyone who needs more shade or protection from the sun! The shade cloth is over my hoophouse - I have two different shades 50 and the 30 which the picture is showing both - the 30 lets a little bit more light through which is great for plants that need a bit more sun to thrive. I have apricot, honeysuckle root starts inside - which are tender to hot bright sun. It’s thick and has grommets every 18 inches. Highly recommend for the hot desert summers. Mckay.
