I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 84” Birch Tree in Pot. It was packaged somewhat carefully and only had 3 limbs to slip into place. Fluff the limbs annd branches out just a bit before putting into place on the tree trunk and it’ll save you some time. The leaves were realistic, though some had become crinkled, apparently when they were slipped into their separate bags for shipping, but just a little patience in turning them into shape seemed to work. I love the coloring of the leaves of this tree! It’s fun that it lights up when you want it – my only hesitation is that the tree base is wrapped in a brown paper and does not look very real at all. I wish it was a more molded plastic tree base, but it will still work in my project. I do like the height of it and the variation between the maroon and pumpkinorange coloring is really pretty if you don’t want to use a typical green tree. I had this tree on my wishlist for over a year but with the cost and no photos etc I was hesitant. I finally pulled the trigger and here are my pros and cons: Pros: * It's generally as described in re height, design, etc. * Everything you need is included (but see con on stability) * Every single blossom is lighted and the blossoms are a durable, soft silicone (they also are removable so don't panic if you find a handful at the bottom of the box). * It is a statement piece! Cons: * It is very top heavy and wobbly. If you have pets or small kids you'll need to find a way to stabilize it. The base is a small metal square but it does have holes so you could bolt it into something * It comes in multiple pieces: the base, two "trunks" and six branches, so it needs to be assembled and all the wires connected. Each twig on each branch will need to be "fluffed" and positioned but hopefully you only have to do it once * The trunk and branches are covered in black matte tape. Mine was slightly torn in a few spots (pictured) and it doesn't look like bark * The connectors and wires definitely show but you can tape or tuck them up to make it somewhat less obvious. * The cord starts from the place where the branches join the trunk (about 2/3 of the way up) instead of at the bottom so it hangs a long way to the outlet and could easily get snagged by pets or kids etc. Overall it's a lovely piece and with some time, effort, and ingenuity should be a stunner but you'll need to put in the work.. It's beautiful! And, I'm happy! Now, to critique: I wish it was about 1' taller. For our situation, we put it in a large "metal can" container/planter in the corner of our deck. We used to have a faux Ficus tree which lost it's leaves after several years (and our difficult last winter), so we are used to seeing a taller plant (which I would prefer.)
