I've been looking for additional planters on wheels that are made of sturdy material. I can't say enough good things about this. In all fairness, I put it together last week and planted it then as well. I really like the self-watering piece and the gauge to let you know to add water is very clear. However, I planted small new annuals in it which are short. I have supplemented with watering on top since I'm not sure that the plants have a mature enough root system to pull up the water they need. I will probably get another one soon. Overall, I am pleased. I appreciate the thin plastic coating on the brown frame pieces, but prepare to allow extra time to peel it all off. The cover is similar to a medium weight shower curtain liner. It held up well during our first rain, but it is not fair for me to assess its durability long run. We could not figure how to attach the smaller midsection supports for the brown frame without putting them on the outside. This leaves bare silver metal strips showing on the outside, we don't mind the look, for added sturdiness. Also, this may not keep my critters out without some sort of additional piece of screening. I want to open it most of the day in to get moving air inside, but that leads to the possibility of critters. Last, I put a planter in to keep my smaller plants from getting shaded by the frame. it may not be an issue for most, but it is for my lettuce. Great garden bed. Instructions are vague as to the order of assembly and a bit tricky to assembly for one person because it's 4' x 8' (it's about 4" short of the 4x8 on both ends but still lots of room) but with a second person as extra set of hands, it went fairly quickly. The is contact paper is only on the outside of the panels. I suppose it's optional to remove but me being OCD, I removed it all. A bit time consuming but worth it. All the sides are 1 ft tall so the sides are two rows tall to get close to 2ft. Here's a tip to save you time... make sure the bottom of the top row panel overlaps on the outside of the top of the bottom row panel. Keep everything UNTIGHTENED until it's all together. Then go around and tighten it up. The rubber stripping is nice. It's snug and you get more than you need to be prepared to cut it to length. Consider wearing some kind of protective gloves so you don't get cut on the edges... I didn't wear any but I was diligent in handling the panels. Overall, great garden bed. Buddy. Bartlett, IL.
