The lights wont be fully installed for a while yet but I am pleased with their overall desighn and condtruction. THey will hold up well to outdoor conditions. There is a swith on the junction box that will change the lighting effect as desired. Lastly - the description, and even instructions, specify a 2 7/8" hole saw cut needed for installation. THis is not a readily avaiable hole sixe to find, but on further isnpection, a hole saw of 2 5/8" is sufficient and will do the job just as good if not better providing a hole with less slop for the fixture to move within.. I keep the remote in the LR, I bought the compatible wall mounted touch pad for the end of the hallway to turn it off. Better than turning on the overhead light, and I don't have to get up, turn on light, then go back to LR or kitchen to turn off lights in those rooms. We got the one from kichner it was a dimmer with the transformer built in and when this thing is dimmed all the way down, it's still pretty bright. meaning when i turn them up they light up my counters perfectly. my one worry is i don't know how long they will last and if i should keep a spare around. i hope they last as long as led lights are supposed to. but 1 week in, i'm thrilled.. These lights are great. I was able to install them myself and I am not an electrician (although a very capable DIYer). The box sits perfectly inside the ceiling and the switch to adjust the light temperature is on the side facing the hole so you don't have to keep pulling it out to adjust. The lights are wafer thin and the clips are easy enough to manage.
