No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. We love the design! However, the workmanship and finish are notably cruder than depicted in the photos. Some of the holes were not fully punched out before curing and others have messy ridges baked on around them. The surface of both have a number of scrapes, scratches and divets on them. We suspect they'll still cast a nice light pattern, but haven't been able to install them yet as they do not include any electrical components which we are now ordering separately. Probably would not have ordered them if we knew the actual items are not nearly as precise or elegant as advertised. Definitely expensive for the quality.
