We used this as accents to dress up our fence. Spray painted them dark brown and used a roller for the yellow highlights, which are embossed in the urethane moldings. Perfect! It elevates a wall and it's very easy to work with. It stays straight (unlike those rubber pvc rollable moulding). It's similar to a foam board but it's sturdier. It was easy to cut with shears. Using construction adhesive to stick to the wall, it was a breeze to put up. It's also paintable. I didn't need any primer. Just a couple coats of paint! I have searched for quite some time to find a ceiling medallion for my walk-in closet chandelier. Most ceiling medallions sold online are flimsy hollow plastic but this one is solid wood and is absolutely beautiful! The molding is so beautiful! Exactly what I was looking for. As someone mentioned before the molding has a coating on it from most likely going through the molding process. I used wall paint and it took a few coats. I think spray paint would have been an easier process, honestly. Anyway, I highlighted the scrollwork with an acrylic silver paint after painting it black.
