I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. The bolts supplied with the cart were not long enough and required a trip to the hardware store for longer ones. Only every other hole on one drum end were in alignment. A power drill remedied that. I have some concern about the quality of the steel fastening that will be contacting the composting material. Am concerned that the plated fasteners will corrode quickly. Bought AX-25 to reseal my pool deck and lanai. This stamped concrete deck has to be resealed every 2-3 years. Used tint from another company (very good stuff). However, I decide to give Foundation Armor a try for sealing. I am very pleased and find this to give a better appearance than the sealant I used before from the tint provider. This vacuum is perfect for my little place. It’s just a smaller version than the larger one that my daughter has. But the suction on this vacuum is outstanding! I read some of the other reviews who said it didn’t have much suction power but this one sucked up a lot of dog hair. I haven’t had a vacuum in a week and I have a golden retriever. You can see in the photo how much hair it sucked off my rug on the the floor and from the couch! I love this little vacuum!! it also has a really long cord, which is great. I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in somewhere else. It has several attachments that are helpful too. I also read where someone said when they vacuumed dust came out from the back. I didn’t have that problem at all and I’ve only got the one rug in my living room, which is a small space rug and then I have the hardwood floors, there was no dust coming out of this vacuum cleaner. The battery compartment took forever to open and not knowing what the clasp inside looked like to force it made it harder. Its like Fort Knox or something. I dont have a lot of hand strength anymore but directions say to squeeze the opening and that doesnt work at least on mine. Its all black so hard to see but how can you squeeze and hold the item and grab the door to open it The part you push was flush with the hole well its hard to explain but I couldnt find the moving part. Finally got it and posted pics so maybe it helps someone else. When I closed it the tab stayed out a little and not flush again so it should be fine. Right away I loved its look. I had a vintage French rustic push peddle can that was really pretty but had a lot of issues. My first motion sensor can and I think my special adult kid will think its fun to throw away things so fingers crossed. I love this thing but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for everyone. If you know a lot about composting and gardening than you know that dehydrated ground food is not the same as finished compost. I have a large pot in my yard that I’ve been dumping the output into with plans to incorporate it in my soil when the rainy season comes back. That way the salt will wash away quickly and the food particles will break down before they have time to become a problem. I’d recommend understanding how decomposition works in your own climate before deciding how you plan to deal with your output. The actual problem it solves for me is keeping my kitchen clean without having to deal with the smells and textures of food waste. Where I live trash is only collected once every two weeks so putting food scraps in the trash is not really an option. I have to collect compostable and either compost myself or put them in the city compost bin. For 90 of people I don’t think that’s much of a problem, but I have a pretty weak stomach for the site and smell of decomposing food. I find I’ll avoid opening the lid of my kitchen compost container until it gets an even grosser and the scraps in my sink do as well. This device lets me just shrink them all down without having to watch or smell anything decompose. Ad if I accidentally let something spoil in my fridge I just put it in and press a button. Vacuum is light and has good suction but has some defective hardware, like top handle not getting locked and remaining loose and sometime snaps out while lifting the vacuum.
