I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. The hard-boiled eggs handle was already broken when I opened the box and I am still working with the manufacturer to see what they will do because Wayfair referred me to them so I cannot refund nor getting any replace yet. Not a good experience. To be honest, it looks so fragile. (continued 3 weeks after: I came back to work with Wayfair and finally I got a replacement, a new perfect one sent form Hamilton Beach) So I gave a 4 star out of 5 because of the trouble I had to go thru.).
