Platinum Bright Embers (PBE) are catalytic embers for your vented gas fireplace or log set. When placed on top of existing mineral wool ember beds, the catalytic embers combust unburned fuel from the burner to provide a dynamically more realistic-looking ember. In addition to creating a bright flickering appearance like that of real wood ember beds, these embers radiate broadband infrared heat thus creating a warmer fire and reducing the formation of soot on gas logs. Platinum bright embers work by combusting fugitive hydrocarbons from the burner catalytically which causes the embers to flow and fluoresce. Good combustion requires fuel and air so proper installation is key to the best aesthetic and efficiency improvements to the fireplace. Begin by lighting the fire after proper installation. Using a pair of long needle nose pliers or hemostats, take a single square of the PBE, gently pull it apart to expose more air to the internal parts of the ember, and place it at the base of the fire atop the existing mineral wool fibers, vermiculite, or sand. Once the ember reacts with the fuel and air, it will begin to glow providing a visual indication of how the product is intended to work. Place the remaining embers according to your preference taking care not to clump the material together. If starved for combustion air, the embers will fail to glow.

I really don’t know how to review this, it wasn’t really what I expected. It looks like treated asbestos or something like that. Very small pieces and a very tiny bag. I didn’t find any directions with it, so I’m going to have to ask my fireplace guy when I have them install an instant on switch to my gas log set. I will update my review when I get that done. UPDATE: I finally had my new gas logs installed and they came with the fake embers. They looked pretty much like the product I received from Wayfair, so I just placed them randomly over the embers that came with the log set. The first fire picture below is without and the second picture is with the Platinum Bright Embers and you can really see the difference! They give off a bright platinum glow and I love it. Worth the extra investment to make a fake fire look that much more realistic.. Deborah. Macedonia, OH. Sun Dec 29 2024

It penetrates deep into the substrate where it chemically reacts to form a hydrophobic barrier within the pores that reduces surface water absorption by up to 95%. The Armor SX5000 WB is made from high-quality, non-recycled, US-manufactured resins. It is designed for unsealed concrete, brick, pavers, natural stone, and porous masonry. It works entirely below the surface, won’t change the look or color of the substrate, and won’t leave a surface film. Designed by Germans, has proven yet again that even the most useful, everyday object can be clever, elegant, and deserving of appreciation. The set includes the t-stand, tong, and poker. The wooden handles feature a strong built-in magnet that holds the tools securely to the stand when not in use. The complete toolset becomes a decorative item in your living space. Ashi is available in two styles black powder-coated steel – with a blackened oak wood handle or with a brown oak wood handle. The fireplace tool set coordinates beautifully with the firewood basket. A collection name could not be more fitting as the term comes from the Japanese word meaning reed. The shape is inspired by the swaying reeds that grow in abundance in shallow water; the handle has a similar contour, and the stick resembles the strong, hollow stems that have been used for centuries as a material for the production of baskets.

Its nice and sturdy, and easy to tumble. The compost will be easy to remove by sliding the door open and rotating it downward. My compost is only a week into the making and its 80 degrees. A few more weeks to go! Its made in either the USA or Canada and I like that! Good choice, good price.. Penny. Sat Mar 12 2022

The Upcycle Tumbling Composter is an upcycled food-grade barrel set on a rotating axis for easy compost aeration. It is about 4 feet tall and only requires a 3-foot by 4-foot area. You can put it in a smaller area for storage, but you'll need that much space free from obstacles to spin the barrel properly Eliminate back strain with this hip-level composter. The best garden tools are those that fit your style. If you prefer to work at waist level, this elevated compost maker is perfect. Using a rocking motion to build momentum, a compost tumbler is relatively easy to turn. Due to the aeration, the initial volume of added content will be reduced in half creating a powerful fertilizer/mulch for your lawn or garden needs. The composter body is made from repurposed High-Density Polyethylene Plastic from imported food barrels. You can be a part of keeping hard-to-break-down plastics from being added to landfills while also adding back valuable nutrients into the ground with compost.

It was out of stock for months and is seriously expensive so I knocked it down a star. At first, when I ordered it they said I wouldn't get it for several more months (we're looking at close to a year wait at this point) but it showed up just a week after my order went through. The composter itself looks sturdy though it's too new to tell for long-term durability. It was easy to put together. I had my heart set on THIS composter, and sadly couldn't find it anywhere else, trust me I looked. I planned to turn it into R2D2. Which I did. The body took the spray paint well. The legs and lid did not. But I'm happy with my little working droid. :) It really was the perfect composter to be R2.. Marcia. Huntsville, AL. Fri Oct 15 2021
