I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. I really like the design of this lamp, in particular the frosted glass shade. Having said that, there were some issues and that is why I only gave it 3 stars. The first one delivered had damage, specifically the glass shade was broken. Not surprising as the packaging is not very good. Just a thin layer of styrafoam protects the shade in shipment and is certainly not enough. Wayfair is great though and as mentioned, I liked the design so much that I ordered a replacement even though I was concerned the shade wouldnt make it through shipping again but I took my chances. Fortunately nothing was broken this time which is amazing considering the foam protecting the shade is less than an inch thick. The second one I received was obviously a return as none of the protective plastic was covering the pole or base and the very top part of the pole which has 3 heavy glass balls on it, was completely dismantled and all the pieces were loose. It took some time to put it back together securely. As for the rest of putting it together, the 3 pole pieces that screw into each other are VERY hard to put together straight. It appears the threading on the inside of the pole pieces is not well done so it took many times and often jammed at an angle which then was difficult to unscrew and start again. Once completed, it is a very nice light and is quite heavy so will not be tip easily as some floor lamps do.
