It’s so easy to set up! Just put the little U shaped bar on that holds the shade. The base seems to be metal and the “ leading” on the lampshade appear to be too. This is not cheap plastic! The shade sections are made of a thick glass. When the lamp is turned on it gives off a nice warm solid glow. This is not a tall lamp. It is actually quite stumpy, the shade almost touches the base, so be aware of that, it’s only 11 inches tall. I am impressed by the craftsmanship. This lamp is stunning! I love these Tiffany style lamps. They are so beautiful and put off such a pretty light. Packaging was so easy to take out. It took me less than five minutes to take everything out and another two minutes to put it together! Super easy! This one even included the bulbs with it! As you can see, it takes two bulbs. With this size lamp, if you put it high up, you’ll be able to see the two bulbs underneath, so I like to put it on a lower table. Also, I took pictures throughout the day so you can see the different colors throughout. It’s a little more yellow in the pictures than it is in person. It’s gorgeous! If I had anything to say that I don’t love is the base. It is painted brown. I do prefer the metal bases on these with the bronze look but it still works with my decor. I love it! Shipping was fast!
