I have a freestanding umbrella that was secured by cinderblocks and I though these would be perfect to secure it in a more astatically pleasing manner. While this is probably not their intended purpose, they worked great for me. While I didn't use them, the cables and cable clamps are quite sturdy. The cable attachment hardware on the stakes feels a bit less sturdy but should hold well in most cases. I removed them as they weren't necessary for my application.
