This is very sturdy and definitely a bit nicer looking than the plastic bases. So giving it four stars for that reason. Only taking away one star because I didn’t really think about how expensive it was going to be to fill this with rocks. It cost us another 200 in rocks to fill it so it is a very expensive umbrella base. If you think about it that way. Also, I had concerns about it safety especially with kids around after it arrived so I ended up buying black bumperspool noodles to put on it for safety reasons so that kind of takes away from the aesthetic look. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. When the first rain came I noticed the water bead up and roll off of the driveway as expected. I will probably do this yearly to maintain the concrete. Best price I could find also.. Earl.
