The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. Beware of the deceptive marketing. The toilet comes with no seat, which they do say in the description but it also arrives with no toilet bowl. When I tried to return it cause I dont want to deal with nonsense, they want to make me pay for shipping. Very shady practices. The float and water inlet are the same as a house brand toilet from a big box store i got a couple months ago.
