The gate itself is nice. However, it was shipped loose in a cardboard box, which was damaged during shipping, and one side of one of the panels was scratched all over through the paint. This gate is exactly what I was looking for. I had a tension kind previously and it was constantly needing to be readjusted and people had to step over the bottom bar. , it was so frustrating! I purchased this with the intent of using it for my furry son's play time (when out of his cage), but unfortunately, during the Christmas season, my husband fell on it as he assembled the gate to corale my pet in one area--away from our tree!!! So...I just take the three pieces, place one in front of each door so my pet can stretch his legs without venturing into rooms where he doesnt belong; he can't get into trouble, but he can run around and get enough exercise!.
