I ordered this for my twin grandchildren two plus years ago when they were 5 years old. They and neighbor kids still like playing on it and it has held up well - it still looks like new. I absolutely LOVE this swingset! I would highly recommend it. Quality is incredible and it looks beautiful. This comes in 3 large boxes of parts and a slide. It’s a great idea to lay out all of the wood parts organized by letter and I would also encourage you to lay out all of the hardware by number otherwise you end up looking for parts for quite a while. There are tons of pieces but it goes together really well. I used the Bilt app which is also amazing for when the steps aren’t very clear on the paper directions (you can also use the app to look at a 3D model of any step from any angle which is very helpful). I would also recommend having 2 drills or at least an extra drill battery. I worked on this project for about 16 hours total with help from my dad and husband when extra hands were needed.. Lia. Overall, this was a great buy for our family. It was a big family project to put it all together. The spider swing has had to be fixed multiple times where the bolts came out. Love this swing set and so does my daughter. It did take a while to put together. It went together pretty easily but it takes awhile. I want to say it took me about 12 hours to get it completely together. The instructions are easy to understand but some of the bolt sizes it says to use are not correct. There are a lot of 2-14” bolts and a lot of 2-12” bolts. However it tells you to use the 2-14” bolts in almost everything and you run out by the time you actually need the 2-14” bolts. I ended up going back and installing the longer 2-12” bolts in a lot of places where there is thicker lumber and called for the 2-14” bolts to be able to have enough 2-14” bolts to use where they were actually needed. Also I flipped the swing and slide so I could have the play set oriented the way I wanted in my yard. The directions don’t explain how to do that but it’s easy enough to figure out. If you have a heat gun use it to assemble the slide it’s super helpful. The whole thing is a bit smaller than I expected. It’s perfect for my daughter who just turned four but I was hoping this would be something she could use until she was maybe 8-10. I’m worried she will grow out of this sooner than I had hoped. First off my grandsons 3, 6 and 7 love this swing set. It is very sturdy. THAT BEING SAID we opted to put the set together instead of professional installation - WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The set was delivered via truckline and sent on a pallet (took about 3 weeks to receive). There were quiet a few boxes. First off the boards were not in a "specific" box (for example the tower boards mixed with swing boards. etc) SOME of the boards (not all) had the item # on them. The hardware - well we had probably 5 bags in different boxes with 5/8 washer. and there are A LOT of screws and nails, etc. You are going to get duplicate of a lot of the hardware. The directions were NOT GOOD AND ALL OVER THE PLACEI .It listed all the hardware and all the boards with extra boards that are not even for this set and not all the boards have holes drilled! They send 2 different drill bits but we had to purchase a paddle drill bit too. It took my husband and daughter from May 24th until June 9th to complete (doing a little everyday but was many rainy days hampering everything. ). If you chose to take on this task my opinion open all boxes and sort boards that are alike together. I also took ziplock bags and put all the hardware that was the same together because so many screws and nails were the same. If it is in the budget HIRE A PROFESSIONAL! Good luck and enjoy!!!!. This is a great set! We were thrilled to get such a good deal too. As other reviews mentioned, it did take six hours to build and some holes needed to be adjusted, but no hardware was missing. Don’t even attempt without a drill and have a second (possibly third) person to help. The “sandbox” area underneath doesn’t seem appropriate for sand because the planks are too low. I can’t imagine it holding much sand and a kid sitting on top, but it’s fine. We weren’t putting sand anyway. The kids think it’s a little secret hangout to play with other toys. You do need to use anchors or else the set will move with enough kids on it. The anchors are VERY long, so we bought shorter ones because we are anchoring into turf and not thick sod. If you live somewhere where you can have real grass, the anchors it comes with will be fine…. I have the kids swing opposite each other to balance out their weight just in case. Slide is sturdy and fast, but is mounted well for safe landing. The wide swing can hold two kids - that’s been a hit. What I’ve noticed, it’s a set for smaller children… like preferably toddlers. My daughters are 6 and 9 and they say it feels small, but still play on it fine. My oldest will have to eventually crouch and crawl, but kids are nimble lol. My son is 3 and it’s just perfect for him! We already had a party with a bunch of kids. At one point there were about 10 kids crawling all over this thing and it held up fine! let me put it to you this way, fantastic. Bought this for my two granddaughters and they simply went nuts over it. Swinging, climbing, sliding, gliding and just enjoying themselves to the nines. Especially in these troubling times and not knowing where is safe to go or what regulations or rules they have, this swing set in the backyard is truly a God send. And if proper care is taken, I do believe that it will be around for my great grandchildren. Now as to the the Go Configure folks that built it for me, they are worth every penny they charged. Would have taken me and my friends at least two days to have built this but these guys were pros at it. They were prompt, very professional and did excellent work. We researched swing sets for so long. We read so many reviews and stressed over it. We finally went with this one because it had a lot going on but was also compact for our small space. We absolutely love it. It looks incredible. There are so many things to do on it and it looks so beautiful. Someone even asked me if it was the stock photo! It took three handy adults three days to put together. The wood parts were organized by section for the most part, which was nice. However, the instructions were not the best. For example, one page called for a part that was not in the specified box, and at the bottom of the page it said “hint look in this box for this part”…. We love scavenger hunts, but there is a time and a place. Also, there were not enough of certain screwsbolts, and too many of others. We had to go out and buy more.
